Friedman directs the civil rights agenda for ADL’s operations in Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and North Carolina. Her responsibilities include promoting church-state separation; combating discrimination, hate crimes, extremism and terrorism; and advocating for immigration reform. She is responsible for law enforcement outreach and is a member of the D.C. Bias Crimes Task Force.

Mikey Weinstein, Military Religious Freedom Foundation
Weinstein has launched a campaign to protect the religious freedoms of members of the United States Armed Forces by campaigning for restoration of the constitutionally mandated separation of church-and-state in the military. Appearing widely on national television and radio, his essays have been published on the op-ed pages of leading newspapers, and he has been the subject of newspaper and magazine articles about his efforts.
